Zombietoberfest Spends Saturday Off Corrine Drive. Sunday Is the Street Day.

October 15, 2026

Zombietoberfest comes back to the Audubon Park Garden District on Saturday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, and Visit Orlando lists it as free. The two days don't share a location. Saturday evening uses a church on East Winter Park Road and a Little League outfield. On Sunday the festival moves to Corrine Drive, near the East Winter Park Road intersection, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. That stretch of Corrine is part of the corridor the Orlando City Council voted in June to rebuild.

Each day needs its own plan, and the plans don't overlap much.

Saturday happens a block off the main street

The APGD's own event page lists three Saturday events, at two addresses:

  1. 5 to 7 p.m., KidsToberfest at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 1603 E. Winter Park Rd. It's an early evening of family activities, and kids are encouraged to come in costume.
  2. 7 p.m., spooky concert at the same church. It's free.
  3. 7:45 p.m., outdoor screening of Labyrinth on the Little League outfield behind Redlight Redlight. The district calls the 1986 film, which stars David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly, a cult classic. The page asks people to bring a chair or blanket and to park in the school parking lot at 1500 Falcon Dr.

All of Saturday happens away from Corrine's storefronts. A family can do KidsToberfest and the concert without crossing the commercial strip at all. The movie is the only Saturday event near a business: Redlight Redlight, which the APGD food and drink directory lists at 2810 Corrine Drive.

The listings disagree about when Saturday ends. Orlando on the Cheap's Oct. 7 listing gives Saturday as 5 to 8 p.m. The APGD schedule starts the movie at 7:45. The district's timetable is the safer one for planning the evening, so count on being on the outfield past 8, not leaving at 8.

The Falcon Drive parking note matters too. Of everything on the Saturday schedule, it's the only place the organizers specify parking. That makes it the easiest anchor for the night: park once at 1500 Falcon Dr. and walk from the church to the outfield.

Sunday is the only day the festival is on Corrine

Sunday is the street day. The APGD schedule lists:

  • 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Daywalker Market on Corrine Drive near the E. Winter Park Rd intersection, with local makers, vendors, and music
  • 3:30 p.m., kids' costume parade starting at the DJ booth on West Plaza
  • 4 p.m., pup costume contest at the West Plaza DJ booth
  • 4:30 p.m., adult costume contest at the same spot

Visit Orlando's event listing also describes the weekend as free and includes a makers' market, music, a movie, a concert, KidsToberfest, and costume contests.

The market runs all six hours, and the contests land in its last 90 minutes. Starting at 3:30, West Plaza hosts back-to-back contests for kids, then dogs, then adults, 30 minutes apart, while the market stays open until 5. Anyone coming only for the parade or the pup contest can show up around 3 and still catch the end of the market.

The street is busy even without a festival. MAST Newsroom cites a 2019 MetroPlan Orlando study that counted about 23,000 vehicles a day on Corrine Drive on weekdays and 11,700 to 17,600 on weekends. The APGD schedule doesn't mention road closures or event parking for the Daywalker Market, so don't count on Corrine being closed to cars.

Where to eat around each day

Since the two days happen in different places, they point to different food stops.

Sunday, before the market opens. Gideon's Bakehouse at East End Market, 3203 Corrine Drive, says on its location page that it's open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. That's an hour before the Daywalker Market starts. East End Market's main building at 3201 Corrine Drive is right on the market's stretch of street. The APGD directory lists these East End food businesses:

  • Domu
  • Gideon's Bakehouse
  • Hinckley's Fancy Meats
  • Lineage Coffee
  • Rion's Ocean Room
  • Gyukatsu Rose
  • Wafu
  • Papi's Burritos
  • Winter Park Biscuit Company
  • The Neighbors

Sunday, between the market and the contests. 1803 Pizza Kitchen is at 3128 Corrine Drive, across from East End. The directory's longer list of nearby spots includes Coro, Grazie, Chiffon Culture, Foreigner, Kadence, Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream, La Femme du Fromage, Lobos Coffee Roasters, The Salty, Stardust Video & Coffee, and Sushi Lola's.

Saturday, before the movie. Redlight Redlight is the one business right next to a Saturday event, since the screening is on the outfield behind it. Its official site posts current food and drink menus and weekly hours, so check the Saturday hours there before you go.

Some directories haven't caught up. ÔBon Chocolatier closed its East End Market shop at the end of May, and Bungalower reported May 31 as the last day. East End Market's merchant page and the APGD directory still list it. Don't plan a chocolate stop there.

The 4 p.m. pup contest has a new neighborhood connection

The APGD describes the dog costume contest as "the extremely serious business of judging dogs in Halloween costumes," and the prize is neighborhood glory. One of the district's longest-running dog businesses has changed hands. On its homepage, the APGD welcomes new owners at Canine Glamour Club. Founder Kim, who has groomed Audubon Park dogs for nearly 40 years, is still grooming there with the same team. The new owners are Teena and Nim, the duo behind Doglando and the Doglando Foundation.

The tradition, and Monday after

Zombietoberfest has been around a long time. In 2016, Orlando Weekly's preview called that year's event the "eighth annual" and listed a zombie crawl, a market, kids' activities, and costume contests. Back then the whole festival happened on a single Saturday. This year's two-day split is a different format from the one-day event Orlando Weekly described.

The weekly market keeps going the day after. The Audubon Park Community Market runs every Monday, rain or shine, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Stardust Video & Coffee parking lot at 1842 E. Winter Park Rd. That puts the next one on Monday, Oct. 19, the evening after the costume contests. The Daywalker Market is on Corrine, and the Monday market is on East Winter Park Road, so the district hosts two markets on two streets in two days.

The street under Sunday's market has a construction date

On June 22, 2026, the Orlando City Council unanimously approved the construction agreement for the Virginia Drive, Forest Avenue, and Corrine Drive corridor, according to MAST Newsroom's report on the vote. The project covers 2.6 miles through Audubon Park, Baldwin Park, and six other East Orlando neighborhoods.

The report lists three changes for Corrine.

  • The existing bike lane will be replaced with a wider shared-use path.
  • Raised crosswalks and raised intersections will be added along the corridor.
  • Landscaping, drainage, and signal upgrades are included.

Its timeline has three dates.

  • The city must open construction bids by Dec. 16, 2026.
  • Construction is expected to start in 2027 and run about three years.
  • Final acceptance is targeted for April 3, 2030.

The total cost is $28,709,451. Federal grants cover $8 million of that: a $4.5 million Congressional earmark and a $3.5 million Florida Department of Transportation Local Agency Program award. The city pays the remaining $20.7 million. The city's own project page hasn't been updated to match. It still lists construction in Fiscal Year 2026 and describes funding as of early 2025. Treat the dates from the June council vote as the current expected schedule. They aren't final until bids open and work starts.

For this weekend, Sunday's Daywalker Market sets up on Corrine as it looks today. The bike lane is still painted on the pavement, and the raised crossings are still on paper. The bid deadline comes two months after the costume contests.
